What to Wear, Where

Summer is on its way! Although its still pretty chilly in England if you're jetting off somewhere a little warmer you're probably thinking about your holiday wardrobe. I'm lucky enough to be heading off to Ibiza with my friends and have been looking around the web for style inspiration and got some great ideas. I've put together a guide to what to where in some popular holiday destinations. Hope you find this helpful!

Trend:Monochrome and Neon Yellow

Monochrome is a big trend for ss13. These graphic, futuristic prints are clean and fresh for summer and the neon yellow adds a bold, contrasting pop of colour. Team a patterned, tapered trouser with a simple black vest. Or pair a printed tee with a black skinny jean or pencil skirt. Add neon accents with simple, sleek accessories.

This Topshop tassel bag charms are such a simple way of brightening up a plain bag and are just gorgeous. I have a tan bag I love but would be even better with a bit of colour, so I've done a little DIY on how to make you're own.

All you need is 3m of leather cord, although this would also look good with maybe a suede or any other similar cord, a glue gun and a charm clip. I used a glue gun to secure the cord around the top of the tassel  but you could also tie it and secure it with a few stitches.

Cut the cord in half and half again until each bit of cord is twice the length you want the tassel (about 18cm). So when you fold it in half to secure it its the right length.

Thread a few of the cords ( or all but one of them if you have a large clip) through the bottom of the clip.

Then tie the remaining piece of cord around the rest close to the clip in the middle.

Put glue around the top of the tassel and wrap the knotted piece of cord over the glue around the tassel. I was a bit messy with mine but the glue can be easily peeled off once its dry.

tropical florals

Tropical floral prints were all over the runways, with fabrics covered in Hawaiian shirt inspired hibiscus and palm leaves in bright, punchy hues. The dad holiday favourite, surprisingly, looks to be big this Spring/Summer. Whilst Proenza Schoeler and Marc by Marc Jacobs went for pretty, classic hawaiian style prints, Stella McCartney and Givenchy created some amazing geometric florals.

The high street has followed suit, you can find some lovely tropical prints at Topshop and River Island. Its quite a bold look so I'd pair one of these pieces with something simple in a complimentary, neutral shade.

Try this Topshop Tropical Print Racer Back Vest with pale denim and leather sandals.
